Dr. Steffen Hindelang graduated with honors from Eberhard-Karls-University of Tübingen, Law School / Germany.

His Dr. iur. thesis was on “The Free Movement of Capital and Foreign Direct Investment: The Scope of Protection in EU Law” (OUP, 2009).

Since 2020, Dr. Steffen Hindelang is professor of international investment and trade law at Uppsala University in Sweden.

Previously, Dr. Steffen Hindelang taught at the University of Southern Denmark (Odense), Humboldt University of Berlin, and the Free University of Berlin.

Dr. Steffen Hindelang has advised European governments on investment screening regulation as well as acted as an arbitrator in international investment disputes and international organizations on the on matters of reform of the current international investment law regime.
